Chris Hoffman

Chris Hoffman is Core Lecturer in the Department of Germanic Languages, teaching Contemporary Civilization to Columbia's undergraduates. He is a scholar of German letters from the late 18th century to the present. He is working on a book on the transnational aesthetics of reaction after 1945. His broad areas of interest include German literature and film, the history of theory, political thought, and the philosophy of art.
