This exam is for graduate students who need to demonstrate that they can read and translate source material in German. *Classrooms will be posted in calendar as they become available, but you can always contact the German Department at 212-854-3202 About the exam: No registration is necessary. You will have 2 hours to translate one of a choice of two 300-word German texts into coherent English. You may use a dictionary/ies, either paper and/or electronic.
