Thomas received his PhD in the German Department here at Columbia, and is currently teaching Literature Humanities as a Core Lecturer. His research focuses on 20th and 21st century literature and film, with a particular focus on Late East German and 21st Century Germany realisms, and global 21st century realist cinema.
